Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas Foundation Kicks off La Soirée Arabian Nights in Brilliant Color

Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas Foundation Kicks off La Soirée Arabian Nights in Brilliant Color

The Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas Foundation kicked off La Soirée in grand style at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Pat Parsons, Jr. on October 4th. La Soirée is scheduled for January 21, 2017 at the Beaumont Civic Center.

Chairpersons for the area’s most fashionable event, Ayna and John Pat Parsons, Jr. , along with the most amazing volunteer committees, began their work of creating the spectacular event that is sure to keep guests entertained with surprises planned throughout! Authentic Indian cuisine was catered by Bombay Brasserie.

Information on both La Soirée and on the prequel event, Fashion Bingo for Babies: a Ladies Night Out, to take place at the Beaumont Country Club on November 4th was available.  Guests were informed that tickets and table sponsorships for the event sell quickly for both events, and are available now by calling 409.212.6113.

Always a highlight of the event – the theme revealed at the party was La Soirée Arabian Nights. This larger than life theme will take Soirée guests on a journey down the Silk Road from India to Istanbul. Plans are to transform the Beaumont Civic Center into the Royal Sultan’s palace for the party of the year! A profusion of light, color, sights and sounds will transport guests to another place in time. Authentic entertainment from faraway lands and food representing stops along the Silk Road are planned. All leading to a performance by The Party Crashers. This band brought the house down last year and are back by popular demand!

Through the extreme generosity of the committee members and supporters, the Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas Foundation has been able to assist the hospital with projects to serve all. Past Soirée’s have supported the creation of the Dauphin Women’s Center, a makeover at the Julie and Ben Rogers Cancer Institute, and most recently was utilized to begin updating equipment for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Each project makes a huge difference in the lives of the patients served.

In addition, the foundation provides funding to meet patient needs. In pediatrics this includes coloring books, games and movies for the children. For cancer patients this may involve paying a water bill so that they may continue with treatments. For patients with Alzheimer’s or Dementia the foundation is working with volunteers to design and create a memory garden.

All of these projects would not be possible without community support! Through the purchase of a table, tickets or through a donation, all can join with the foundation in supporting the Sacred Work of Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas.
